The Bluestone Cottage, named for the famous blue stones found only on Leland beaches, is located at Hill & Main in the heart of Leland and near the secluded North Beach Lake Michigan access. From this roomy 5-bedroom house
you can stroll or bike into historic Fishtown, Van's beach, the Marina, Lake Leelanau public boat access, Nedows Bay Beach, the Old Art Building, quaint shops, cafes, and top-notch restaurants. It will be your home away from home to explore the Leelanau Peninsula. You'll be captivated by the charm of the villages and the breathtaking views throughout.
This stylish cottage has plenty of room for 8-12 people with a sunny living room, ample dining area, and well-stocked kitchen. The large upstairs Master suite has an extra pull-out sofa, two twins in an adjoining room and its own efficiency kitchen. On the main floor you'll find the second bedroom with en-suite bath, a third bedroom leading to a screen porch, perfect for sipping coffee in the morning and a fourth bedroom with twin beds. Enjoy your summer evenings grilling on the back deck, sipping local wine on the front porch or taking a picnic to the beach, just a short walk away!
Our recent reviews:
"Very nice accommodations for our group of 8. The kitchen was well-equipped. Everything gave a clean, well-maintained impression. The linens on the bed were superb. I would highly recommend it to others." Guest from Minnesota
At The Bluestone Cottage you will be in the heart of one of "America's Best 8 Lake Towns" (Budget Travel Magazine) and can enjoy Leland's special events like the Wine & Food Festival, 4th of July Parade, and Art Leelanau or take a short drive to the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, "The Most Beautiful Place in America" (Good Morning America), Suttons Bay, Northport, Glen Arbor and Traverse City - one of the "Top 5 Foodie Towns in America" (Bon Appetit).
Visit "Secret Michigan" as seen in Martha Stewart Living (July/August 2013). "The sugar-sand beaches feel as sweeping and sublime as oceanfront.....The days feel longer, the fish taste fresher, and the food lovers are still blessedly unpretentious."
